Colour Management System

Colour Management System, a proprietary NEC technology, offers much more precise control of colour adjustment than conventional methods. Instead of one master control, each RGB and CMYK colour can be individually adjusted. In combination with Gamma Correction, Digital Colour Correction and White Balance Correction, the Colour Management System enables you to fine tune colour reproduction.
Wireless LAN
With an ordinary projector, it is necessary to reconnect the RGB cables when the presenter changes. Conversely, this projector can change presenters with a single operation.
The person who wants to speak can send images from his/her PC to the projector just by clicking the “Become a Presenter” button.
An administrator (a teacher) can switch images on the participants’ (students’) PCs to be projected on a screen.
With the Training mode, a single PC can control PCs that project images onto a screen. You can switch the PCs that project image or pause communication with the projector.
Advanced AccuBlend
Advanced AccuBlend technology automatically resolves the difference in resolution between source data and the images you project. With Advanced AccuBlend, you can project in SVGA using SXGA data, for example. The same technology makes zoom-in views smooth. Also, special algorithms protect text and thin horizontal lines during compression. Gain power, sacrifice nothing.
Eco Mode
Reducing energy consumption for both economic and environmental reasons makes good sense, so NEC projectors offer an Eco Mode energy-saving option. Depending on how much projector brightness you require, you can choose between two setting - one for maximum brightness and one for maximum efficiency. The Eco Mode setting lowers the brightness and slows the fan, thus extending lamp life, lowering noise and of course consuming less power.
PC Card Viewer
The PC card slot, available on the projector main unit, provides the means for presentations without a PC. Insert a compact flash or flash memory card with your stored presentation materials and display images directly on the screen. The PC card slot eliminates the need for transporting a PC together with the projector. The projector displays files formatted in JPEG, BMP, TXT and HTML (text only).
Quick Start Up and Quick power-off function
The projector can project images from a PC or a video within approximately 8 seconds after turning on the power(VT695/595/590/490/59/49).
The quick power-off function permits immediate removal of the power plug from the electrical outlet after turning off the main power even if the cooling fan is still operating. Since it is not necessary to wait for the cooling fan to stop, the projector can be promptly transferred to another room. With the direct power-off function, it is possible to remove the power plug from an electrical outlet even when images are being projected.
Easy Electronic Board (WT615 only)
White boards, walls and other impromptu projection surfaces are instantly transformed into an electronic board. Using the special electronic pen, the presenter can "write" notes, "highlight" points, and "draw" right on the projected image.
  • Detection of electronic pen movement by a built-in sensor
The sensor built into the rear panel of the WT615 detects movement of the electronic pen. Select line thickness and colour, draw squares, and even erase! Up to 4 pages of drawn text and picture data can be saved.

  • No installation of special drivers necessary
The easy-to-use electronic board functions are ready to enhance your presentation communication right out of the box.
  • Use the electronic pen in place of the mouse
You can remotely control PCs linked to the projector via the Wireless LAN with not only the projector's USB mouse but also with the electronic pen. With the pen or the mouse, moving to the next slide or changing projected images is easy.
  • Save projected images with overlaid "drawn" data Images thrown by the projector and picture data drawn with the special electronic pen can be saved in a flash memory card set in the projector or an attached USB storage device.
  • Use it as an electronic board Without projecting an image, just set the projector to throw a blank screen of white or any desired colour, and use it as an electronic board. The "drawn" data can be saved to a memory card.
