NEC's unique mirror projection technology using aspheric mirrors achieves the world's shortest focal distance*.
Use existing presentation venues more efficiently or even install this projector in a limited space such as a small meeting room. Presentations can be made without concern for shadows on the screen when you stand in front of it. This projector expands the opportunities for use and can be used by anyone, anywhere.

The WT600 projector can easily be used in places where it was difficult for lens-projection type projector to be installed.

Even if the presenter stands in front of the screen, there are no shadows. The audience can focus on the presenter.

What is the mirrored reflection projector ?
In an ordinary projector ( lens-projection type projector) images are displayed using a projection lens, which consists of about 10 components. Using this method, shortening the throwing distance is technically limited by the lens diameter, curvature, and weight. The WT600 projector is equipped with NEC's unique optical design using aspheric mirrors. NEC achieved the super short focal distance, impossible in ordinary projectors, by introducing the aspheric mirror, which was developed and produced with super-high accuracy plastic mirror technology. The short throwing distance means the presenter can stand in front of the screen without blocking the light from the projector; so, there are no shadows on the screen. Presentations focus more on the presenter. By introducing a mechanism moving the mirror (electric powered), focus adjustment can be made for a variable screen size, and screen distortion (distortion aberration) is suppressed within practical levels*. The "Pin cushion correction" function electrically corrects screen distortion.

The mirror projection method

Rays of light are successively reflected with the 4 components of the aspheric mirror functioning as projection lenses to form an image.

  • The recommended size of projection is 60".
  • The recommended screen gain for a wide-angle type is around 1.0. It is not suitable for a roll screen or an uneven screen.

Other features
  • The projector supports wired LAN and wireless LAN*1. Notification of lamp life and error messages will be reported via e-mail*2.
  • The projector is exceptionally quiet with a noise level of 32 dB. (In the Lamp Eco Mode)
  • The projector is equipped with three types of security functions: Protection against improper operation, Protection against changes in settings, and Protection against unauthorized use.
  • The maximum lamp lifetime of 3000 hours*3 is achieved in the Lamp Eco Mode.
  • With the PC card viewer function, presentations can be made without using a PC.
